Hungarian Startup University Program 2024/25

Have you ever heard about the story of Silicon Valley? Do you know that the big tech companies were once just small garage firms? Maybe you have your own business idea? If yes, or you are simply interested in the startup world apply for the Hungarian Startup University Program (HSUP) via Neptun.

In this academic year (2024/2025), the University of Debrecen will launch the Hungarian Startup University Program (HSUP) again. First time in the course’s history, it will be in English where studentscan get to know the startup ecosystem and strengthen their entrepreneurship mindset.

The course will be held for two semesters. During the first semester, students can learn about the startup world and acquire those innovative mindsets which are essential for becoming a startupper. Later, in the second semester, they can get practical information about starting their own company, and take part in lessons that will be supported with interactive e-learning materials.

The courses consist of 7 + 5 modules. At the end of each module, students will find a final module test. To succeed the first semester, students have to submit a one-page document - called onepager – and complete each module tests. In the onepager students have to summarize their future business idea. Throughout the second semester, students whose projects will be selected, will work in teams with a professional mentor and can get financial support.
