Student Innovation Fund
The University of Debrecen Student Proof of Concept (SPoC) Fund was established within the framework of the University Innovation Ecosytem project supported by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office. The implementation of the program is coordinated by the Innovation Ecosystem Center within the University.
The program aims to provide support to students of the University of Debrecen for the technical and market validation of their innovative ideas, to strengthen their entrepreneurial approach and synergistically provide programs for competence development and awareness-raising.
Involving students in the SPoC program contributes to the development of the University’s third mission activity creating a new type of opportunity to strengthen the relationship between university and industry and expand knowledge transfer to new areas.
The aims of the program:
The supported projects aim for the testing of student ideas, the production of prototypes, technological development, analyzing market potential and other activities facilitating commercialization.

All documents and data submitted by the teams are kept secret by the University of Debrecen and will not be disclosed to third parties without the prior approval of the team, except for the members of the committee evaluating the applications.
Important information:
The grant cannot be used for the purchase of general IT equipment (eg laptop, monitor) due to general restrictions regarding university procurement.
