Proof of Concept funding

The University of Debrecen has established its Innovation Fund in 2017 in order to support innovation activities in the environment of the university. Under the umbrella of the Innovation Fund, we launched a proof of concept program to help transform discoveries and technologies originating at the University into useful products and services that benefit society. The main goal of the PoC program is to support evaluating the  technologies, to set a path to their commercialization and to lead the technology to a stage where it can be licenced or attract capital by creating a spin-off.

PoC is designed to further accelerate the search for opportunities in regards of commercialization of research results and to prepare the commercialization path and process in order to reach the next milestone of product- or service development. Further aim of the programme is to decrease development and commercial risks therefore making University technologies more attractive to industrial partners.

Projects based on applicable research results and originating at the University of Debrecen can be supported by the PoC program. These projects have to be in accordance with the goal and background of the PoC program and meet the requirements of the PoC guide. Researchers at the University of Debrecen can apply for the programme.
