PATLIB Center

What is a PATLIB center?

The PATLIB Center operating at the University of Debrecen is the intellectual property protection information point affiliated by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO). The center is a part of a network built in member states that have joined the European Patent Treaty. The PATLIB Center is located in the Technology Transfer Center where professionals with intermediate and advanced level qualifications in industrial property rights provide information to the interested parties.

  • Effective support in patenting of inventions and effective protection of new solutions
  • Access to industrial law protection databases, support in searches.
  • Counselling with regards to intellectual property commercialization and license agreements

All information booklets and specialized textbooks published by HIPO are available in our office. 

The PATLIB center services are available for everyone. The service is free of charge and provides information regarding intellectual property protection.
